On February 4th, 2018, U.S. Bank Stadium will host the NFL’s premier event of the year – Super Bowl LII. The fixed-roof stadium, the first built in the NFL since 2002, was built on the former site of the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. In addition to being the new home of the Minnesota Vikings, the state-of-the-art multi-purpose facility will host the Summer X Games in 2018 and the NCAA Men’s Final Four in 2019. The building also will host other sporting events, concerts, family programs, and community events.
Agile Frameworks customer Braun Intertec tested the stadium’s soil, masonry and concrete to evaluate construction material conformance of this state-of-the-art facility. They used Agile Frameworks’ MetaField solution to collect, log, and report data for 20,000 concrete cylinder tests. MetaField’s streamlined workflow allowed Braun Intertec to provide their client same-day results throughout the project and meet critical construction timelines. Construction of this landmark structure was completed six weeks early in the summer of 2016.
